

Gianpietro ""John"" Iacobucci, Sr. 83, of Wethersfield, loving husband of Elisa (DiNino) Iacobucci for 54 years, died peacefully with his beloved and devoted family by his side, Tuesday, (April 9, 2013) at St. Francis Hospital. He was born Aug. 1, 1929 in Pratola Peligna province of L'Aquila, Italy and was the son of the late Luigi and Elena (Presutti) Iacobucci. He was the co-founder of Connecticut Mason Contractors, Inc. retiring several years ago. John also was a founding member of Marconi Enterprises as well as various other businesses. He was a longtime member of the Pratolana Society and was an instrumental part of locating the building that the Pratolana Club occupies presently. John was a longtime faithful communicant of the Church of the Incarnation. Besides his loving wife he, is survived by his children, Lou J. Iacobucci and wife Mary of Rocky Hill, John Pietro Iacobucci, Jr. and wife, Lisa of Berlin, and Adriana Pagliuca and husband, Vinnie of Berlin; grandchildren, Krista J. Iacobucci, John E. Iacobucci, John Pietro Iacobucci, III, Vinnie ""VJ"" Pagliuca, Elisa Faith Pagliuca and Gabriel Alexander Pagliuca; a sister, Josephine Rizza and husband, Salvatore of Newington; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Fiore and Lina DiNino of Wethersfield, Silvia and Bruno Vitale and Carmela DiNino all of Erie, PA., as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins and a host of dear and close friends. He was predeceased by a daughter, Sandra Iacobucci; a granddaughter, Cassandra Elisa Pagliuca; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Vitorio DiNino, Ennio and Eleana DiNino and Viola and Giuseppe DeAngelis.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Incarnation, 544 Prospect Street, Wethersfield. The entombment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
