Gloria B. (mclean) Maffucci

Gloria B. (McLean) Maffucci, 77, of Wethersfield, beloved wife of Pasquale C. Maffucci for 57 years, died Sunday, (November 18, 2007) at home with her loving family by her side. She was born November 20, 1929 in Hartford and was the daughter of the late Walter and Laura (Spalding) McLean. She was employed by the former Royal Typewriter and later by Travelers Insurance Company. Gloria enjoyed cooking and gardening. She was an avid seamstress and loved all animals. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Besides her husband she is survived by two daughters, Laura M. Maffucci of Coventry and Mary Anne Maffucci of Wethersfield; as well as many nieces, nephews and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. She was predeceased by two brothers, Richard and Wayne McLean; and a sister, Jean Phelps. Funeral service will be Wednesday at 9 a.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd, Wethersfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Church, 53 Capitol Ave, Hartford. The burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Calling hours are TODAY Nov. 20 from 3 - 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
