

Herminio “Millo” Perez, 70, of East Hartford, passed away peacefully on Sunday February 28, 2016 following a prolonged battle with Lewy-Body Dementia. Born in Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Monserrate and Manuela Perez. He was a lifelong resident of Connecticut and worked with the Connecticut Laborers Union for more than 25 years. He was an avid dominoes player, enjoyed gardening, and his 1967 restored Ford Mustang. Herminio will be dearly missed by his children, three sons, Adam, Gamaliel, and Sergio Perez; two daughters, Areli Perez and Maira Perez-Logan; five adored grandchildren; one cherished great-granddaughter; 10 brothers and sisters whom he loved dearly, his dear companion, Estervina Rosa and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Herminio was predeceased by two brothers. The family would like to give special thanks to many folks for their invaluable assistance to Herminio during his illness. We couldn’t have gone through the journey without all of you.
Funeral services will begin Saturday (March 5) at 10 a.m. the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd, Wethersfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11a.m. at St. Augustine’s Church, 10 Campfield Ave., Hartford. Burial will be in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
