Irene M. Anderson

Irene M. Anderson, beloved wife of the late Leonard S. Anderson, peacefully entered eternal life on April 21, 2014 with her daughter by her side. Born and educated in Albany, NY, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Zienkiewicz) Michalski. She lived in Old Wethersfield for over 55 years and was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and a member of the Guild of Saint Theresa, Saint Ann’s Mother’s Circle and the Altar Society. Irene is survived by her cherished daughter and caregiver, Andrea M. Anderson of Wethersfield and her fiancé Thomas Giusto of Lynnfield, MA; two loving sisters, Sophie Wend and Mary Emsing of Albany NY and several much-loved nieces and nephews, as well as her longtime caring and kind friend, Bertha Keenan. Irene, the youngest of seven children, was predeceased by two brothers, Walter Michalski and Richard Michalski and two sisters, Isabelle Michalski and Josephine Ottman. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 25, at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 56 Hartford Avenue, Old Wethersfield. There are no calling hours. Everyone is invited to meet at the church. Burial will immediately follow in Village Cemetery, Wethersfield.
