

Jeffrey Thomas Chandler, 63, formerly of Wethersfield, passed away on June 2, 2016 in Greenville, NC. He was born June 15, 1952 in Hartford to the late Mae Meagher Chandler and Raymond F. Chandler. Jeff graduated from Wethersfield High School, joined the Army National Guard and the Wethersfield Volunteer Fire Department, Company 1 in 1971. In 1974, Jeff married Patrice (Roberge) Chandler. He was employed by The Hartford for 33 years, retiring in 2007.
In addition to his wife Patrice, Jeff is survived by his children Stephanie Chandler of Raleigh, NC and Heather Iannucci and her husband Michael of Morrisville, NC. Family was a very important part of Jeff’s life. He was extremely proud of both his daughters and all they achieved in their lives. Jeff leaves his sister Sandra Traunig, his twin brother Mark, his youngest brother Reed, and a host of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother, father, brothers Scott and Kevin, and brother-in-law Richard Traunig.
Jeff was proud to have been a part of the Wethersfield Volunteer Fire Department where, during his tenure, he rose to the rank of Captain. He received a Recognition of Heroism for the January 29, 1979 crash between a commuter bus and a gasoline truck on I-91.
A memorial service will be held at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield, on June 8 from 5-7PM. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Boys Town National Headquarters, 200 Flanagan Boulevard, PO Box 8000, Boys Town, Nebraska 68010, which was Jeff’s favorite charity.
