

Jenny Der-Ren (Tze) Fong, 75, of Rocky Hill, beloved wife of Jack Ming-Yun Fong for 49 years, passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2014. Born in Chengdu, Sichuan, China on March 1, 1939, she was the daughter of the late King-Ao and Xiu-Zhen (Dong) Tze. Jenny studied classical piano and nursing in Taiwan. She immigrated to Rocky Hill with her family where she resided since 1976. Jenny worked as a nurse at the Veterans Hospital in Rocky Hill. She continued her music studies under the tutelage of Dr. David Spicer, and received her BA from Central Connecticut State University. She was an active member of First Church of Christ, Wethersfield and supporter of the Albert Schweitzer Organ Festival. Jenny LOVED life. She was a published author, musician, artist and avid traveler. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she will be dearly missed by her husband Jack; two sons, James Gan Fong and his wife Tammy of Beijing, China and Dean Fong and his fiancée Mei Zhu Peng of San Francisco, CA and her two adored grandchildren, Benjamin Rui-Lin Fong and Kaitlyn Rui-Qi Fong. She is also survived by three brothers, James Der-Yi Tzyy of Sacramento, CA, Der-li Tze and Der-Zi Tze, both of Taiwan and two sisters, Der-sing (Tze) Chang of Ottawa, Canada and Diane Der-Yen (Tze) Wang of San Jose, CA.
Funeral service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at First Church of Christ, 250 Main St., Wethersfield. Donations in Jenny’s memory may be made to the Albert Schweitzer Organ Festival, C/O 250 Main St., Wethersfield, CT 06109.
