Jerome ""Jerry"" L. Gagliardi, 59, of West Hartford, beloved son of the late Clement and Matilda (Scattareggia) Gagliardi, passed away on Sunday (January 12, 2014). Born in Hartford on February 2, 1954, Jerry was an artist, poet and musician who loved to share his talents with family and friends. He was a member of the St. Joseph Cathedral parish. He will be dearly missed by his devoted brother and loving caretaker, Michael Gagliardi of West Hartford and his cousins, Gloria, James, Joseph, Loretta, Melanie, John and Ronald. Funeral services will leave Friday at 9 a.m. from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at the Cathedral of St. Joseph, 140 Farmington Ave., Hartford. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
