Joan D.Cusano, 89, of Wethersfield, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at Hartford Hospital. Born in Hartford on May 21, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Mario and Cristina (D’Angona) Cusano. Joan worked for many years as a customer service representative in the insurance industry. She enjoyed playing cards, going out to eat, and was a Bobby Vinton fan. Joan always looked much younger than her age (just shy of 90) and was friendly and kind to all she met.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three brothers, Lee, Philip, and Michael Cusano and her sister, Angelina DeCorleto. She is survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family members as well as her dear friend, Linda Masiuk, who she met at Kronholm and Keeler where they both worked back in the 1980s.
In honoring Joan’s wishes, funeral services will be private. The D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, Wethersfield has been entrusted with the arrangements.
