John Peter Romano, 83, husband of the late Dolores (Grasso) Romano, passed away on Monday, (October 31, 2011). Born in Hartford on April 30, 1928, he was the son of the late Angelo and Concetta (Bosco) Romano. John was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Prior to his retirement, hewas a maintenance supervisor for the State of Connecticut Department of Children and Families. John is survived by his son
Angelo Romano and his wife Penni of Rocky Hill, his daughter Paula Apro and her husband Karlo of Eastford; his two beloved grandchildren John Peter Romano II and Nicole Marie Romano, both of Rocky Hill, and his sister Yolanda Giansanti and her husband Alfred of Uncasville. He was predeceased by his sister Paula Mastrio.
