Josephine M. Fuggetta

Josephine M. Fuggetta, widow of Sebastian F. Fuggetta, passed away peacefully on Sunday, (February 18, 2007) at Jefferson House. She was born January 24, 1916 in Hartford and was the daughter of the late Antonio and Lucia Pantano. She resided at Executive Square in Wethersfield since 1984. Josephine retired from Fisher Bindery and was employed many years ago by Brown Thompson Department Store. She was a communicant of Corpus Christi Church, a member of the St. Lucy Society and the Floridian Ladies Society. The UCONN women's and men's basketball teams gave her great enjoyment. Watching Mass on television and then playing her opera CD's were a Sunday ritual. She was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt. She is survived by her daughters, Sandra and her husband Richard Pinchera of Middletown, Lucia and her husband Gerard Bryson of Monroe, grandchildren, Rick and wife Nancy Pinchera, Tanya Maselek, Michael and wife Kristin Pinchera, Joseph and wife Sharon Pinchera. She was lovingly known as ""Momma Momma"" to her great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Chelsea, Christopher, Robin, Charlie and Juniper Pinchera. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, and her brother-in-law Angelo Fuggetta and his wife Loretta. She was predeceased by her sister Connie Finocchiaro and brothers Salvatore and Carmelo Pantano. Funeral services will be Wednesday, at 10 a.m. from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd. Wethersfield, with a Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. in Corpus Christi Church, Wethersfield. Burial will be in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Friends may call at the funeral chapel on Tuesday 4-7 p.m. The family would like to thank the staff of Jefferson House and VNA Healthcare Hospice for their compassion and care.
