

Juan Enrique Ayala Jr., 60, beloved husband of Mayra (Portalatin) Ayala, of Coventry, entered into God’s care on Friday, December 22, 2023. Juan was born in Puerto Rico and was the son of Juan E. Ayala Sr. and Rosaura (Rodriguez) Ayala.
He was a lifelong resident of Hartford, where he met and married his highschool sweetheart Mayra. Juan was a caring son, adored friend, devoted husband, loving father, and doting grandfather. He was a man of many talents and hobbies: he was fluent in 5 languages, an avid bird and fish enthusiast, and accomplished carpenter. He will be remembered as a driven individual who always put the needs of others above his own. His compassion and sense of humor will live on with his loved ones.
In addition to his loving wife, Mayra, he is also survived and will be missed dearly by his two precious daughters; Ashley and Rosaura Ayala, his two sweet grandchildren; Lorenzo Elias Ayala and Elena Rose Ayala, his younger brothers; Angel Ayala, Luis Ayala, and Saul Ayala, and his parents Juan E. Ayala Sr and Rosaura Ayala.
Family and friends are invited Friday, January 5th, 2024 for a time of visitation from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield.
A Mass of Catholic burial will be held Saturday, January 6th, 2024 at 10:00 AM in St. Augustine Church, 10 Campfield Ave., Hartford, (please go directly to church) followed by burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
