Katherine (calabrese) LaCava

Katherine (Calabrese) LaCava, 97, of Hartford, beloved wife of 73 years to the late Dominic A. LaCava, passed away Sunday December 31, 2006. She was born March 6, 1909 in Hartford the daughter of the late Rocco and Antoinetta (Tambona) Calabrese.  She was a charter member of the Christopher Columbus Ladies Auxiliary, a member of the Young Italian American Association Ladies Auxiliary, the Daughters of Isabella, the St. Ann?s Sodality and the St. Anthony Ladies Guild. She was happy to have lived to see all of her grandchildren married. Katherine is survived by two daughters MaryLou Fritzson of Marlborough and Beverly Triblets and her husband John of South Glastonbury; grandchildren Rick Fritzson and his wife Diana of Marlborough, Dominic LaCava and his wife Julie of West Hartford and Kathi Pizzo and her husband Jon of Glastonbury, Donna and Dimitri Alatakis of Fairfield, Debbie Forgione of Glastonbury, Joanna and Anthony Pace of Glastonbury, 15 great grandchildren and many nieces and nehhhpews. She was predeceased by her son and daughter-in-law; Joseph and Connie LaCava, a son-in-law, Richard Fritzson, and sisters Rose A. Montano, Carmela Calcagni, Julia Brainard and Cecilia Cappella and a brother Frank Cresenzo. The funeral is Wednesday January 3rd at 9:15 a.m. from the D?Esopo Funeral Chapel 277 Folly Brook Blvd. Wethersfield with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Augustine?s Church, 10 Campfield Ave, Hartford.
