

Born on November 21, 1946 in Hartford, he was the son of the late Florence (Notorangelo) and Raymond LaMott. He was also pre-deceased by his mother in-law and father in-law Anna and Angelo LaBella of Rocky Hill. Besides Susan, the love of his life for the past 51 years, he is survived by his daughter Taya Caron and her life partner Mike Rosenstein, both of Rocky Hill; his three adored granddaughters, Gabriella of Cranston, RI and Alyssa and Kristina, both of Rocky Hill; His brother, Michael LaMott and his partner William Grupp of Clearwater, FL; a sister in-law Andrea Petrizzo and her husband Tom of Plainville and several nieces and nephews.
Larry was in the U.S Air Force where he served in Vietnam. He loved the outdoors, especially summering at the beach, fishing and hunting. There was nothing more important than spending time with family and friends surrounded by good food (namely his pizza) and great conversation. “Papa” as many called him, was deeply loved by many and will be missed by all the lives he touched.
The family will receive friends and family from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 1st at D’Esopo Funeral Home, 277 Folly Brook Blvd, Wethersfield. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday June 2nd at 11a.m., at St James Church (St Josephine Bakhita Parish) 767 Elm St, Rocky Hill. Everyone is asked to please meet directly at the church. Entombment with military honors, will follow at the State Veterans Cemetery, Middletown.
