Louis DiPietro

Louis DiPietro, 95, of Wethersfield, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 13, 2022 at Hartford Hospital. Born in Boston, MA on June 30, 1926, he was the son of the late Frank and Stella (Ciancuillo) DiPietro. Louis served proudly in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a career boat mechanic at his brother’s company, DiPietro Kay in Rocky Hill. Louis was a man of few words, but he was very devoted to his family.

Louis will be forever missed by his four children, Raymond DiPietro of Tolland and his children, Jessica, Sara, Nicholas, Raymond and Jonah, Donna Colello and her husband Ray of Wethersfield and their children Ray and Tara, Tara’s husband Joe, Michael DiPietro and his wife Laurie of Delray Beach, Florida and their children, Jason and Brianna and Carol D’Angelo, her husband Rich Wethersfield and their children Jenna and Nicole, as well as his five great-grandchildren, Paxton, Rebekah, Gianna, Joseph and Jacob. Louis had a special relationship with his four nephews, Rudy, Anthony, Joe and David.

Family and friends are invited to a graveside service with military honors on Thursday, January 20 at 10 a.m. at the Connecticut State Veterans’ Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane, Middletown.
