
Louise Galt Pease of West Hartford and Groton Long Point, died on Tuesday, (June 14, 2011). She was born in Hartford, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Paul T. Galt, Jr., and was a graduate of The Oxford School and attended Skidmore College. Louise was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church in West Hartford and an honorary member of its Altar Guild. She was a trustee emeriti of Kingswood-Oxford School and a director of the Seniors Job Bank in West Hartford. She belonged to the Hartford Golf Club, Town & County Club and the Green Gardeners of Hartford. She leaves three daughters: Anne E. Pease of Kittery, ME, Nancy D. Pease and her husband, John Thomas of Tampa, FL, Susan W. Gadoua and her husband, Michael of San Rafael, CA; a son Edward C. Pease and his wife, Heather of West Hartford; two grandsons, Arthur Dodge Tucker and William Welles Tucker; and a granddaughter, Faith Allwood Pease. She was predeceased by her oldest daughter, Linda P. Hicks of New York City and her sister, Eleanor G. Stafford of Bloomfield.
The funeral will be held on Friday, June 17 at 12 p.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church, 679 Farmington Avenue, West Hartford. Private burial services will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
