Luan Kallogjeri

Luan Kallogjeri, 74, of Newington, passed away on January 10, 2022 after a brief illness. Luan was born in Tirana Albania on August 25,1947 to the late Muhamed and Haxhire Kallogjeri. He lived his entire life in Tirana before immigrating to the United States in 2000.

Luan was a very intelligent man who loved to read. He graduated from university with degrees in law and economics, and throughout his career held various appointments within the Albanian government. Luan lived his life with honesty and integrity, and we will miss his radiant smile and sarcastic humor.

Luan is survived by his loving wife Suzana, of 49 years. In addition to his wife, he leaves two sons Albion Kallogjeri and his wife Erin of Wethersfield and Ervin Kallogjeri of Newington, three grandchildren Julia, Sophie and Adrian Kallogjeri of Wethersfield CT, a brother Astrit Kallogjeri of Tirana Albania, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and cherished friends. Luan was predeceased by two brothers, Ibrahim and Edmond Kallogjeri.

Family and friends are invited Tuesday, January 18, 2022 from 9:30-11:30 am for visitation followed by a brief memorial service at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd, Wethersfield, CT. Burial services will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park, 580 Elm Street, Rocky Hill,prayer CT.
