Lucy Concetta (Tarascio) Rossi passed away peacefully at home December 31, 2020 at the age of 95 with her family by her side. She was predeceased by her husband John with whom she shared 62 years of marriage. Lucy was born in Hartford and graduated from Hartford High School and Hillyer College. As a young adult she worked at the G. Fox & Company department store, as a medical secretary, and later as an administrator for the State of Connecticut Commission on Forfeited Rights and the Medical Examining Board. In retirement she and John enjoyed traveling through the US and Europe. Lucy’s faith gave her strength and solace. She treated friends like family and welcomed them to her home for a cup of coffee or a home cooked meal. Gentle and even tempered, she was always graceful especially when dancing with John to their favorite big band songs. Above all, Lucy was devoted to family. Inspired by her love are her son Joseph and wife Lynn, daughter Rosemarie and husband Carl, daughter Ellen and husband Jim and daughter Andrea. Her grandchildren adored her and will miss her dearly: John (Andrea), Jaerid (Kirstin), Max, Bianca (Kabir), Nicola, Ben, Ali, Noah, and Lucy, as will her four great-grandchildren Jacob, William, Olivia and Gianna. She leaves two sisters-in-law Lucy Bull and Yolanda Rossi, as well as cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends who will miss her kind ways and infectious laugh.
