Luisetta (Cieri) Maiorini, 95, of Wethersfield, beloved wife for over 58 years of the late Michele Maiorini, passed away peacefully on Thursday (April 17, 2014). She was born in Palmoli, province of Chieti, Italy, and was the daughter of the late Alessandro and Marianina (D'Alosio) Cieri. At the age of 39, she immigrated to the United States, leaving behind her very successful business. Her faith in God was the cornerstone of her life. She began each day with prayer and thanksgiving. Affectionately known as ""THE LITTLE ENTERTAINER,"" she brought joy and happiness wherever she went through her music and sense of humor. Whether in the stores, hospitals, or doctor's offices, she instantly changed the mood of the environment from sadness to happiness and laughter. Luisetta had a very strong spirit and was able to see joy in the mist of misery. Even at the end of her life, she tried to sing her signature song ""La Campagnola Bella."" Her answer to conflict was to sing a song and replace guns with a musical instrument. She strongly believed in the importance of family, close relationships, and giving abundantly to people. In her words, VANITY and materialism are a ""puff of smoke."" To her, loving each other takes priority above everything else. According to her, the world has increased in technology over the cost of human understanding and love. She will be dearly missed by her three devoted children, her son, Alex Maiorini and his wife Rosa; her daughters, Geraldine and Maria Maiorini, her three adored grandchildren, John, Elizabeth and Elyse, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Luisetta was predeceased by four brothers and two sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday (April 23) at 11 a.m. at the Church of the Incarnation, 544 Prospect St., Wethersfield. Entombment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday prior to the Mass, from 8:30-10:30 a.m., at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield.
