

Luz A. Antoniadis, 70, of Hartford, beloved wife for 37 years of John Antoniadis, passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Hartford Hospital with her family by her side. Born in Puerto Rico on February 19, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Jose Manuel Santiago (Vietnam War Veteran Stationed in Panama) and Bernarda Gonzales. Luz was a skilled furniture maker, sewer, cook, loved arts and crafts and fishing with her family. Luz devoted her life to raising her family and was happiest when they were all together.
She will be forever missed by her loving husband John; four children, Belinda Cruz Aponte, Rafael Concepcion, Jose A. Concepcion and Elizabeth Concepcion; her 11 adored grandchildren, Jasmine, Miguel and Melissa Aponte, Mariah, Yeshua and Maya Echevarria and Jose, Johnathan, David, Joshua and Alexis Concepcion and her four cherished great-grandchildren, Charlie Rose Aponte, Miguel Angel Aponte IV, Talia Sophia Rodriguez and Luna Isabella Aponte. She is also survived by her sister, Carmen Milagros Santiago; brother in-law, Daniel Maldonado and nephews, Augustin Cruz and Daniel Maldonado Jr., as well as many extended family members. Special thanks to all who have left an imprint in her life and to all who have supported Luz’s family throughout this difficult time.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 15 at 10 a.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
