

Manuel “Manny” Marrero, 46, of Wethersfield, beloved husband for 12 years of Antonette (Colon) Marrero, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, (November 7, 2013). Born in Corozal, Puerto Rico on November 17, 1966, he was the son of Cruz Marrero Cabrera and Margarita (Santos Colon) Marrero. Manuel worked for and retired from the State of Connecticut as a youth services officer at the Long Lane/Connecticut Juvenile Training School and Oak Hill School for the Blind. In addition to his wife and parents, he will be dearly missed by his adored children, Manuelle Xavier and Jeselyna Elyse Marrero and three sisters, Zoraida Fuentes, Maribel Collazo and Olga Rivera. His memory will also be cherished by his many godchildren as well as his nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
Calling hours will be Tuesday from 3-7 p.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield. A Homecoming Service will be held Wednesday from 6-7:30 p.m. at the funeral chapel. Family and friends will gather on Thursday at 10 a.m. at the chapel, graveside service to follow at Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
