Manuel Moleiro Pereira

Manuel ""Moleiro"" Pereira, 79, of South Windsor, beloved husband of Maria Rosalina Pereira, died Tuesday, (March 19, 2013), at Hartford Hospital. Born in Santos Evos, Portugal he came to this area in 1971 to make a better life for his family. Prior to his retirement, he was employed at Taylor & Fenn Co. in Windsor. In his retirement he enjoyed working in his garden, making wine, and he especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Church. He is survived by his children; Lurdes Pinhel and her husband Manuel Pinhel, Laura Ferreira and her husband Antonio Ferreira, Manuel Pereira and his wife Luisa Pereira, Connie Neves, Tina Garofalo and her husband Maurizio Garofalo, Silvestre Pereira and his wife Linda Pereira; his grandchildren, Rute Pinho and her husband Marco Pinho, Elizabeth Luangpraseuth and her husband Hong Luangpraseuth, Tanya Pereira, Stephanie Ferreira, Monica Neves, Ryan Pereira, Kyle Pereira, Sabrina Pereira, Matthew Pereira, Victoria Garofalo, Anthony Garofalo; and his great grandchildren, Jake Pinho, Dominic Luangpraseuth and Demitri Luangpraseuth. He is also survived by his sisters, Conceicao Almeida and Maria Da Piedade Santos; and brothers, Antonio Rodrigues, Silvestre Rodrigues and Adelino Rodrigues. He was predeceased by his sisters, Adalia Garcia, Leonor Rodrigues; and his brother Jose Rodrigues.

The funeral is Saturday at 9 a.m. from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd. Wethersfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 50 Kane St., Hartford, 06106. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
