Marcin Staranowicz

On October 6, 2023, heaven gained another angel. Marcin (Mark) Staranowicz passed away peacefully with his family by his side. He was born on January 20, 1982 in Poland to his parents, Antoni and Halina Staranowicz.

Marcin was a family man who cherished his time with his wife, Anna, and his two sons, Jakub and Sebastian. He was a proud father who loved watching his sons play football and soccer.

A resident of Wethersfield for twenty years, he made a lasting impact on the community from helping neighbors to creating masterful masonry projects. Marcin was a kind, hard working, and giving person. Marcin loved to entertain so much that he built an outdoor stone kitchen where he loved cooking pizzas with his beloved Anna. Together, they hosted parties which included music and fireworks, creating lifelong memories for all.

Marcin is survived by his family: his loving wife Anna; two remarkable sons, Jakub and Sebastian; parents Antoni and Halina; sisters, Katarzyna (Kasia) Soroka and Joanna Karna. Marcin also leaves behind his lifelong best friends, Ania and Grzegorz Jarema and their son Kaiden. He was also blessed with to have an incredibly special group of neighborhood friends, who consider each other family.

Friends and relatives may pay their respects on Friday, October 13, 2023 from 9:00a.m. to 10:30a.m. at D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00a.m. at Christ the King Parish (Corpus Christi Church), 601 Silas Deane Hwy, Wethersfield. The burial will be private.
