

Margaret (Stefano) Marek, of Farmington, died suddenly at home on Saturday (July 1, 2006) surrounded by her family, three years to the day after her beloved husband, Andrew died. Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Rose (Stavola) Stefano and lived in Farmington since 1963. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church and enjoyed knitting, reading, spending time at Misquamicut Beach and with her grandchildren. She is survived by her devoted family; two daughters and sons-in-law; Paula and Vincenzo DiBerardino of Newington and Andrea and Chuck Quercia of Farmington and a son and daughter-in-law John and Elizabeth Marek of Newington; her cherished grandchildren, Adam Ferguson and M.J. and Kim DiBerardino, Nathan and Faith Quercia, and Zachary and Michael Marek; a brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Lois Stefano of Rocky Hill; five sisters, Jean Damato of Avon, Tina Connolly and Dolores Brunetti both of Wethersfield, Mary Frances Ensign and Lawrence Plante of Florida and Nancy Abbate and her husband, Donald of Wethersfield; her sister-in-law, Dolores Stefano of Wethersfield; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, John Stefano and her sister, Rose Stefano. The funeral is Wednesday with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St Patrick's Church, 110 Main St, Farmington. Everyone is invited to go directly to church. Entombment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, New Britain. The family will receive relatives and friends TODAY, July 4th from 4:30 - 7:30 p.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield.
