Maria 'mary' (d'angelo) Piazza

Maria 'Mary' (D'Angelo) Piazza, 86, of Hartford, wife of the late Angelo S. Piazza, died peacefully, Friday (June 4, 2010) at home with her devoted family by her bedside. She was born March 9, 1924 in Watertown, MA and was the daughter of the late Biagio and Anna (D'Amato) D'Angelo. She was a longtime faithful communicant of St. Lawrence O'Toole Church, Hartford. She was predeceased by a son, Thomas Piazza and a daughter, Carol Armentano. She is survived by her daughter, JoAnn Piazza of Hartford; three sons, Angelo S. Piazza, Jr. of Rocky Hill, Robert Piazza and Anthony Piazza both of Hartford; two sisters, Gilda Zavarella and Dina Moskus and her husband, Raymond all of Newington; nine grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be Tuesday at 10:15 a.m. from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd. Wethersfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Lawrence O'Toole Church, 494 New Britain Avenue, Hartford. The burial will be in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Calling hour will be Tuesday morning from 9:15-10:15 a.m. at the funeral chapel.
