Marie (Donza) Faulkner

Marie (Donza) Faulkner, 88, of Rocky Hill, wife of the late Stephen M. Faulkner, Sr. died Sunday June 18, 2017 at Hartford Hospital. Born in Hartford she was the daughter of Dominic and Mary (Stavola) Donza. She retired in 1988 from the State Department of Transportation after many years of service. The matriarch of her family. And she loved watching sports. She loved to cook and she made sure you would never leave her house hungry. She is survived by her son, Stephen M. Faulkner, Jr. of Rocky Hill, four grandchildren; James Ashley, Tish Faulkner, Stephen Faulkner, III, Jessica Faulkner and two great grandchildren, Nicholas Bargelski and Adonis Ashley. She was predeceased by her daughter, Lucy M. Ashley, her sister, Rose Ploszaj and her brothers, Michael, John, Thomas and Dominick Donza. The funeral is Thursday at 11:30 a.m. in St. James Church, 767 Elm St. Rocky Hill. Everyone is asked to go directly to church. Entombment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
