

Mary Elizabeth Carbone died peacefully in her sleep on January 2, 2017. Hers was a life force, never weakened by illness, sadness or pain, never deterred by the word can’t. On June 3 1915 Mary Elisabeth Albano was born in Springfield Massachusetts. The second daughter of Lavinia and Frank Albano and sister of late Edna O’Brien and Jack Albano. Wife of the late Anthony F. Carbone they built their home first in Hartford and finally settled in Wethersfield. Mother of Nick (Carole) Carbone, Vina (and the late Pat) Cammarota, Marie (John) Mazzotta, Clelia Perez (Milton), Angela (Stan) Lukas, and Tony (Gina) Carbone. She leaves 10 grandchildren: Christopher (Jamie) Carbone, Steven (Jill) Lukas, Caren (Kendall) Cobb, Joseph (Josh Glazer) Mazzotta, Maryanne (Gustavo) DeMoraes, Tina (Patrick) Dillon, Jonathan, Monica, Elisa, Antonio and Gianna Carbone and Ricky Perez. She leaves 10 Great Grandchildren Emily, Karalyn and Alana Lukas, Anthony and Evan Carbone, Mary and Samantha Cobb, Eden Dillon, and Gabriel DeMoraes and Jed Glazer. She also leaves her faithful sidekick, ‘Jack’.
Calling hours will be Friday (January 6) from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd. Wethersfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of the Incarnation, 544 Prospect Street, Wethersfield. The burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. To honor Billie’s memory the family requests that you send flowers to someone you love and say ‘Cuz Billie said so!’.
