Mary Margaret (davey) Ferrante

Mary Margaret (Davey) Ferrante, 75, of Wethersfield, beloved wife of Libero D. Ferrante, died peacefully, Friday, (January 2, 2009) at her home with her loving family by her bedside. She was born in Hartford, March 26, 1933 and was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Healy) Davey. She was a graduate of Mount Saint Joseph Academy and Saint Joseph College both in West Hartford with a B.S. Degree in Nursing. Mary was employed at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center for almost 40 years prior to her retirement in 1995, starting as a registered nurse and rising to the position of Director of Nursing. Mary enjoyed summering on Cape Cod, gardening, traveling, reading, doing needlepoint and spending time with her cherished pets, Amber and Kayla. Besides her loving husband of 41 years, Mary is survived by three cherished children; daughter, Christina F. Patria and her husband, David, son, Michael Davey Ferrante and his girlfriend, Maryanne Pappas all of Wethersfield, daughter, Ann Marie Soutar and her husband, Keith of Trumbull, loving grandchildren, Marissa Patria and Abigail and Kellen Soutar as well as many cousins and a host of dear and close friends. She will always be remembered and loved by her family and many friends. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, January 7 at 9 a.m. from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd, Wethersfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Incarnation, 544 Prospect St, Wethersfield. Burial will be in Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery in Bloomfield. Calling hours are Tuesday, 4-7 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
