Matthew Scott Crane, 18, of Wethersfield was called home on Saturday, August 18, 2007. Matt was a faithful Child of God whose goal was to serve his Lord in his daily life. Matthew was a graduate of Wethersfield High School Class of 2007. He proudly wore ?10? on his WHS varsity basketball jersey. His dream was to teach sports to children. He was scheduled to register as a first year student at Manchester Community College. He was employed for the summer at the law firm of Shipman and Goodwin in Hartford. His employer was so delighted with his work ethic and commitment that he was offered a full time job that would be scheduled around his classes. Matt is survived by his loving parents, Lori Cerra of Wethersfield and Richard and Gloria Crane of Meriden, his sister, Tasha Crane of Rocky Hill and her fiancé Brandon Dickman, his maternal grandparents, Marye (Anest) Cerra of Rocky Hill and Patrick Cerra of West Hartford, two step-brothers, Mayco and William Morales and a step-sister, Crystal Morales, several uncles and aunts; Martin and Sallyann Crane, Roy and Mary-Jo Crane, Charles and Debbie Crane, Tony and Josie Cerra, Bonnie and Fred Dandelske, Carol and Roger Bouthillier, Cyndy and Michael Lietart and many cousins. The funeral is Wednesday at 2 p.m. in First Church of Christ, 250 Main St. Wethersfield with the Rev. Dr. J. Jey Deifell, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Village Cemetery, Wethersfield. The family will receive relatives and friends today (Tuesday) from 4-8 p.m. at the D?Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd. Wethersfield.
