Michael David Venables

Michael David Venables, 39, of Newington, beloved husband of Luanne Gradante-Venables, will be honored with a life tribute on Saturday January 24, 2009. The tribute will be held at the D?Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield at 2 pm. Michael was born in Bridgeport, son of Marc and Garnet (Roberge) Venables, grew up in Shelton and attended the University of Connecticut where he graduated with a degree in Human Development in 1992. He was at UConn when he met his future wife Luanne and they married shortly after. Michael was employed in the insurance, newspaper and printing industries. Music and family were his true loves and he was a generous donor and supporter of the American Red Cross. Besides his wife, Luanne, of Newington and his parents of Hyannis, MA, those honoring Michael include his two cherished children: a daughter, Kira J. Venables, and a son, Eric J. Venables, both of Newington; a brother, Brian L. Venables and his wife, Kristen of Durham and their children, Joseph and Sarah; an uncle David Venables of Hamden; his father and mother-in-law, S. William and Katherine (Blesso) Gradante of Newington; and many extended family members and friends.
