

Nancy Ann Sousa, 51, of Wethersfield, died Monday, April 22, 2013 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Dover, DE she was the daughter of Mary Ann (Sarli) Sousa of Somers and the late Edward K. Sousa, Jr. She was a graduate of Enfield High School Class of 1980 and Albertus Magnus College. She was the founder and owner of Town Line Laundromat in Rocky Hill. A gifted and avid professional singer she was known throughout the area as an outstanding vocalist for some of the top bands. She shared her voice at Susan G. Komen events as well as numerous nursing homes. She was active in the Susan G. Komen CT Foundation and was recognized by them as the recipient of the Connecticut Komen RuthAnn Lobo Award. She was also a member of the Rocky Hill Chamber of Commerce. Nancy was passionate about her family and friends and was an inspiration to many for her tenacity and vitality. Besides her mother, she is survived by her brother, Edward K. Sousa, III of Somers, her sister, Christina M. Sousa of Enfield and many other extended family and friends. She especially loved her cat “Guido”.
The funeral is Friday with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in Corpus Christi Church, 601 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield. Burial is private. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd. Wethersfield. Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G.
