
Nicholas W. Christiano, 84, of Hartford died Saturday (October 13, 2012) at Hartford Hospital. He was born and lived in Hartford his entire life. A graduate of Bulkeley High School, he was the son of the late John and Maria (Pinto) Christiano. Nick was the owner of Motor Service, Inc. in Hartford, which he ran for many years. Besides being an excellent mechanic and machinist, he was a pilot and inventor. He obtained his real estate license in the 1950s, and maintained it throughout his life through continuing education. Throughout his long life, he was blessed with good health, good humor, and loyal friendships. He quietly assisted many without recognition, and continued to do so to the end of his life. Nick's fondest wish was to see an end of all wars and conflicts throughout the world. He was a faithful member of the Full Gospel Interdenominational Church in Manchester. Nicholas leaves two nieces and two nephews, Thomas Christiano, Angela Christiano, Mary Lynn DiMaggio and Joseph DiMaggio and his brother-in-law, Angelo DiMaggio. He was predeceased by a brother, Frank and wife Rachael Christiano; sister, Anna DiMaggio, and sister, Jean Buffalino and her husband John.
Funeral services will leave on Wednesday (October 17) at 10:45 a.m. from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. in St. Luke Church, 66 Bolton St., Hartford. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. The family will receive relatives and friends TODAY from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
