Born on May 20, 1940 in Floridia, province of Siracusa, Sicily to Sebastiano and Girolama D’Agostino, Palmira immigrated to the United States alongside her family and settled in Connecticut. She was employed as a professional seamstress for over 25 years until her retirement. She was a well-respected and cherished member of her community.
Palmira is survived by her adoring husband Anthony “Tony” of 56 years, her sons Salvatore and Sebastian, her granddaughters Loredana and Samantha, her brothers Giovanni, Antonio, Paulo, Settimo and her sister Lia.
Lina, as she was affectionately known, had a rare gift for making others smile and laugh, leaving a lasting impact on all who crossed her path. Her journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion, and unwavering faith in God. The dedication to her church groups and community volunteering was matched only by her passion for preparing exquisite foods and lively social gatherings. As a skilled cook, she took great pleasure in crafting culinary masterpieces and treasured every opportunity to share them with her loved ones during outings and festive holiday celebrations.
Although Lina's physical presence may no longer grace our lives, her spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. May her memory be a blessing, and may we carry forth her legacy of love and compassion in all that we do. Your light will forever shine brightly in our hearts.
