

Paul Christopher Lalama, 28, of Wethersfield, beloved son of John and MariAnne (Dowd) Lalama, left this earth unexpectedly on Sunday (June 2, 2013). Paul was born on May 30, 1985. He attended Wethersfield Public Schools, the Academy at Swift River and graduated from Porter & Chester Institute with a certificate in Automotive Mechanics. Most knew him best for his quick humor, love of music and ability to tell captivating stories. He was a friend to many and loved by all. He enjoyed the outdoors, playing guitar, attending concerts and spending time with his best friend and brother, Brian. Paul was good with his hands and utilized his knowledge of mechanics, painting and general carpentry. He worked on many car and home improvement projects for his friends and family. Paul will be dearly missed by his loving parents, John and MariAnne; and his devoted brother, Brian; his grandmothers, Angela Lalama and Pauline Dowd; uncles and aunts, Carmine and Roberta Lalama, Remo and Anna-Maria Lalama, Dennis and Cheryl Dowd, Catherine and Peter Campbell, David and Paula Dowd and Patricia Dowd; cousins, David, Lori, Jennifer, Angela, Thelma, Jason, Andrew, Melissa, Stefanie, Jennifer, Ryan, Michael, Pamela, Alyssa and Julia, as well as countless friends. Paul is now in heaven in the arms of his beloved grandfathers, Papa Attilio Lalama and Poppy Gerald Dowd.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11 a.m. at the Church of the Incarnation, 544 Prospect Street, Wethersfield. Everyone is asked to please go directly to the church. Burial will be private. Calling hours are Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield.
