

Pelino S. 'Paul' DiLoreto, 73, of Wethersfield and Old Saybrook, husband of JoAnn (Petrella) DiLoreto, died Tuesday (August 26, 2008), at his home in Old Saybrook. Born in Pratola Peligna, province of Aquila, Italy he was the son of the late Giovanni and Liberata (DiStefanis) DiLoreto and lived in Venezuela for many years before moving to Hartford in 1962, moving to Wethersfield in 1973. He was a self-employed painting contractor and was a member of the Pratolana M. B. Society in Hartford. Paul loved his garden; especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and enjoyed his beach house. Besides his wife he is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Anita and Michael Cella and their children Rachael, Patrick ""Buddy"" and Nicholas of Rocky Hill, his son and daughter-in-law, Salvatore and Joy DiLoreto and their children, Lyndsey, Gracie and Sofia; and his son, Daniel DiLoreto all of Wethersfield. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Alfeo and Anna Marie DiLoreto of Wethersfield, two sisters, Rina Fazzio of Hartford and Dolinka Anzellotti of Wethersfield, his brother-in-law and his wife, Dominick and Marie Petrella of Newington and many special nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Zerta Matrone. The family would like to express their sincerest appreciation to the Visiting Nurse staff and especially to Gina Corraccio. The funeral is Saturday, August 30, at 8:45 a.m. from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd, Wethersfield with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in the Church of the Incarnation, 544 Prospect Street, Wethersfield. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
