Peter J. Babin, 88, of Wethersfield, husband of the late Margaret (Glazewski) Babin, died Thursday, December 5, 2013 at Hartford Hospital. Born in Hartford, he was the son of the late Peter G. and Stosa (Ivanov) Babin and lived in Wethersfield for more than 60 years. He was employed by the State of Connecticut as a supervisor at the State Library retiring in 1980. He is survived by a son, David Babin of Wethersfield as well as a nephew, Robert L. Potz, his wife Margaret and their children of Sag Harbor, LI, NY. The Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday (Dec. 9) at 10:00 AM, in St. Luke's Church, 30 Bolton Street, Hartford. Everyone is asked to go directly to the church. Burial will be in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. There will be no calling hours. The D'Esopo Funeral Chapel of Wethersfield is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorial contributions in Peter's name may be made to St. Luke's Church.
