
Robert J. DiGregorio, 84 of Wethersfield, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2020. Robert was born on July 29, 1936 in Hartford and was the son of the late Pasquale “Patsy” and Serafina “Fannie” (D’Amato) DiGregorio. Robert grew up Hartford and in 1960 enlisted in the United States Army. He served his term proudly receiving an honorable discharge in 1966 with the rank of Sergeant E-5. After his discharge, he went on to receive his MBA from the University of Connecticut. He then began his career as an Analyst for the State of CT, retiring after more than thirty years of dedicated service. Robert was a very talented musician, the cordovox accordion and organ were amongst the many musical instruments he played. In addition he sang and provided several years of enjoyment at parties and weddings.
Robert leaves his nieces Michelle DeMoura of Andover, CT and Melissa Tripp of Newport, VT along with his special friends Palma Cannata of Portland and Ron Dinardo of Ellington. He also leaves his cherished dog, Tori.
In addition to his parents, Robert was predeceased by his brother Richard J. DiGregorio and sister-in-law Cecile DiGregorio.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at 10 a.m. at Christ the King Parish (Corpus Christi Church), 601 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield. Everyone is asked to meet at church. Burial with military honors will follow at Mt. Saint Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Masks are required and social distancing guidelines will be followed.
