

Robert A. “Bobby” Lombardo, 65, of Rocky Hill, loving husband of 36 years to Diana (DiCioccio) Lombardo, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, August 11, 2025 at Hartford Hospital. Born in Hartford on December 14, 1959, a beloved son of Gloria (Rizzio) Lombardo of Newington and the late Joseph N. Lombardo, he had been a resident of Rocky Hill since 1996. Bobby was a graduate of A.I. Prince Technical High School in Hartford, class of 1977. Prior to his illness, he worked as an IT Analyst at Aetna Insurance Company, retiring after 42 years of dedicated service.
Bobby was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers. He loved riding his motorcycle and enjoyed golfing and going to the casinos. He loved grilling, especially for his famous 4th of July parties. More than anything, he cherished any time spent with his children and family members.
In addition to his devoted wife Diana and mother Gloria, Bobby will be forever missed by his two children, Ryan Lombardo and Amber Lombardo, both of Rocky Hill; three brothers, Michael Lombardo and wife Marilyn of East Hartford, James N. Lombardo of Newington and Joseph N. Lombardo, Jr. of Wethersfield; two sisters, Joanne Chipman and husband Scott of South Windsor and Janice Harrison and husband John of Hookset, NH; his brother-in-law, Mario DiCioccio and wife Gloria of Newington; his sister-in-law, Lisa Mirabelli and husband Peter of Wethersfield; his two special dogs, Yeezy and Gracie; as well as many dear nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends. Besides his father, he was predeceased by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Quintino and Lidia DiCioccio of Wethersfield.
Funeral service will be Saturday, August 16, with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick-St. Anthony Church, 285 Church Street, Hartford. Entombment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Mausoleum 3, Hartford. Everyone is asked to please go directly to the church on Saturday morning. Relatives and friends may call at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield on Friday, August 15, from 4 – 7 pm.
