

Ronald Francis DeLisa, 70, of Wethersfield and Fort Lauderdale, Florida, beloved husband of Kathleen (Murphy) DeLisa for 28 years, died November 22, 2015, following a long and courageous battle against his illness. He was a native of Wethersfield and a graduate of Wethersfield High School, class of 1963. He received a certificate of Electronics and Audio from the Ward School of Electronics. Ron was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force Reserves. He founded D&K Sound in Wethersfield in 1965, serving as its president until his passing on Sunday. Many of Ron's clients became personal friends, remaining so to this day. In addition to his loving wife Kathleen, Ron is survived by his adoring family; daughter and grandson, Kelly and Maxwell Hunter of Kalamazoo, Michigan, and his son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Katharine Delaney and grandson Connor of Needham, MA., his loving brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Christine DeLisa of Ellington, brother-in-law and sister-in-law John and Judith Zinn of West Hartford and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. Ron was predeceased by his parents, Ann and John DeLisa of Wethersfield. Ron's many friends always served as the benefactors of his gifts of laughter, love and generosity. Our family would like to express a special thank you to Christine DeLisa and George and Margie Bushnell for the many acts of love and kindness shown to Ron. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday at 10 a.m., in the Church of the Incarnation, 544 Prospect Street, Wethersfield. There are no calling hours.
