Rosa Elisabet Jara

Rosa “Rosi” Elisabet Jara, 58, of Wethersfield, entered into God’s care unexpectedly on Thursday, January 16, 2025. Born in Cuzco, Peru, she was the beloved daughter of the late Adulfo and Alejandrina (Reyes) Jara.

Rosi was known for her gracious and selfless nature, always willing to lend a helping hand or offer a ride to someone in need, whether they be a friend or a stranger. Her generosity and warm spirit left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She spent several years working with the elderly in nursing homes, and cared for both of her parents faithfully during their final years.

She will be deeply missed by her only child, Samuel J. Jara of New Britain, her cherished siblings, Barnaby Jara, Giovanna Espinoza, and Haydee Jara, her beloved nieces and nephew, Sabrina, Stephanie, Claudia, and Sergio, and her prized dog Gizmo.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Rosi’s life on Saturday, January 25th at 11am at First Church of Christ in Wethersfield (250 Main Street, Wethersfield, CT), where she was a dedicated member of the congregation for nearly 30 years.

In accordance with her wishes, no burial services will be held. Arrangements have been entrusted to the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel in Wethersfield.
