

Rose Mary (Iannetta) DiFiore, 96, of West Hartford, formerly of Fairfield Avenue Hartford, beloved wife of 56 years to the late Daniel A. DiFiore, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 28, 2020 at St. Mary Home of West Hartford. Born in Norwich, Connecticut on July 13, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Lucio and Mary (Grande) Iannetta. She worked for many years at The Hartford and at G. Fox & Co. Rose loved her family above all else. Over the decades she enjoyed gathering for Sunday dinners and celebrating holidays and birthdays. She was known for having a greeting card ready for every occasion. It was the simple pleasures in life that made her happy. In retirement, her greatest joy was caring for her grandchildren and always making each one feel special. She loved them dearly and the feeling was mutual. She was a devout Catholic who was a lifelong parishioner of St. Augustine in Hartford and most recently at Incarnation in Wethersfield.
Rose is survived by three sons, Daniel and his wife Judith of Wethersfield, Thomas and his wife Frances of Wethersfield and Robert and his wife Kathleen of Middletown; her seven grandchildren Jennifer Destefani and her husband Rocco, Jill Grant and her husband Christoffer, Eric DiFiore and his wife Diana, T.J. DiFiore and his fiancé Nicole, Daniel DiFiore, Michael DiFiore and his wife Marie, Maria DiFiore and six great grandchildren. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her two brothers, John Iannetta and the Rev. Vincent T. Iannetta as well as a sister, Raffaela Eannetta. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the wonderful staff at Ellis Manor and St. Mary Home for the exceptional care and compassion shown to Rose.
Due to current restrictions, funeral services will be private. A private burial will take place in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
