Rosemarie Ann "Rosie" Carrozzella

Rosemarie Ann (Marlow) Carrozzella, 57, of Wethersfield, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her friends and family after a valiant fight with brain cancer on Tuesday, September 25, 2018. Born in Holyoke, MA on June 21, 1961, she was the daughter of Claire (Marlow) Gdula and the late Albert Gdula.

Rosie was a loving wife and wonderful mother who will be forever missed by her husband of 24 years, Larry, her three adored children, Elyse Fernandes, Michael Carrozzella, Joeseph Carrozzella, and her beloved Shih-Tzu Bella. She will also be missed by her mother, her sisters Debbie Bakes and her husband Mike, Tina Rauh and her husband George, and Laurie Stearns; her brother Albert Gdula, Jr. along with her mother-in-law Jeanette Carrozzella, Esq., brothers-in-law, John Carrozzella, MD, Christopher Carrozzella, Esq, and his wife Mary Jane, and William Carrozzella. Rosie will also be missed by her nieces, nephews, her McDonald’s family, especially the Ashburns and her friends, especially the Pallones, Hickeys, Lambertis, and Accarpios.

Rosie was a dedicated employee of McDonald’s for 36 years, during her career, she made many cherished friends. Rosie was a talented quilter making several treasured quilts for her family and friends as well as donating her works of art to charities.

Rosie’s family would like to thank the staff of the Helen and Harry Gray Cancer Center for their kindness and compassion, especially Jennifer Cyr, Lorraina, Donna, Dr. Flowers, Dr. Dahar, Dr. Kureshi, and her end of life caretaker, Millie.

Calling hours are Saturday (September 29) from 12:30-2:30 p.m. concluding with a service at 2:30 p.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield.
