

Scott 'Mr. Complete' Bradford Chandler, 60, of Wethersfield, loving husband for 37 years of Janet (Vermette) Chandler, died on Sunday (December 21, 2008). Born in Hartford, he was the oldest son of the late Raymond F. and Mae (Meagher) Chandler. Scott was a 1966 Wethersfield High School graduate with a GED. He was a mechanic at Jimmy's Mobil for years before making a career change and becoming a Steamfitter out of Local 218. He then started his own business as 'Mr. Complete,' which he owned for 30 years before retiring in 2005 due to his health. Scott served on the Wethersfield Fire Department, Company 1, for 27 years, working his way up to Captain and he also was a member of the Wethersfield Volunteer Firefighters Association. In his younger years he played softball for Oldham Studios. Scott was a member of the Rocky Hill Elks Lodge 2308. He loved his 1966 Super Sport, boating and playing cards with the Sacred Heart Men's Club. Besides his beloved wife, he is survived by his sister, Sandra V. Traunig; brothers, Mark Chandler 'Luv you hon,' Jeff Chandler and his wife Trice and Reed Chandler and his wife Lori, all of Wethersfield and Kevin Chandler and his wife Holly of South Windsor; his son-in-law Peter J. Ploss of Moodus; brother-in-law Bruce Vermette and his wife Sue of Florida; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Scott is also survived by the love of his life, his cat Bonnie Mae. Besides his parents, Scott was predeceased by his daughter, Kimberly Ann Chandler Ploss; his son, Darryl Scott 'Bear' Chandler; and his brother-in-law, Richard Traunig. Scott's family would like to thank Doctors Elmo Villanueva, Robert Frost and Kevin Krebsbach as well as Scott's second family at DaVita's of Rocky Hill for their care and compassion. The funeral service will be on Saturday, December 27, at 11:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 56 Hartford Ave., Wethersfield. Everyone is asked to go directly to church. Calling hours will be Friday, from 3-7 p.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield.
