Sebastiana ""Anna"" Amenta, 91, of Rocky Hill, widow of Sebastian Amenta, passed away on Thursday, (March 22, 2007). She was born in Canicattini Bagni, Province of Siracusa, Italy daughter of the late Salvatore and Rosalia (DiMauro) Carpentieri. She immigrated to America in 1920 and spent her early years growing up on Front Street. A loving mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother she leaves her family behind, her son and daughter-in-law, Richard M. and Patricia Amenta of Old Lyme, daughters, Santina ""Tina"" and her husband, Milton D. Kirby of The Villages, FL. Roseanne M. Amenta of Newington, a sister, Philomenia Mauro of Rocky Hill, seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Saturday at 9 a.m. from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd. Wethersfield, with a Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. in St. Augustine Church Hartford.
