Sharai Adina Cruz

Sharai Adina Cruz, 29, of Wethersfield, loving wife of Rigoberto “Rigo” Cruz, Jr., passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 5, 2016. Born in Hartford on March 12, 1987, she was the beloved daughter of Francisco Camacho and Loyda Borton, both of Hartford. Sharai graduated from Hartford Public High School and received her Bachelor’s degree from Central Connecticut State University. She worked for several YMCA locations for over 10 years as an aquatics instructor and was a member of the West Hartford United Methodist Church. Sharai enjoyed to crochet, reading and was an avid swimmer, but her true devotion was to her family. In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by her two adored daughters who were the light of her life, Adina Delilah Cruz and Lesliane Jane Cruz; two brothers, Jose Morales and Francisco D. Camacho; four sisters, Ibis Berardi, Anixa Santiago, Ari Camacho and Evelyn Castro; her father-in-law, Rigoberto Cruz, Sr.; mother-in-law, Teresa Martinez; sisters-in-law, Lourdes Cruz and Janette Cruz, as well as her aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family members, co-workers and friends.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, October 10, 2016 from 3–6 p.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield with a chapel service at 6 p.m. Burial will be private.
