
Stanley A. Jurewicz, 57, of Rocky Hill, loving husband of Kristine (Dmochowska) Jurewicz, passed away on Monday, (September 22, 2008) following a tragic boating accident. Born in Poland on April 16, 1951, he was the son of Stella (Sciagaj) Jurewicz of Ansonia and the late Antoni Jurewicz. Stanley, along with his family, immigrated to the United States in 1969. He was a machinist for Merritt-Davis Electric and was a faithful communicant of SS Cyril & Methodius Church. Stanley enjoyed boating, gardening and mowing his lawn, but his greatest joy was his family, especially his granddaughters, Angel and Amanda. Besides his beloved wife Kristine and his mother, Stanley is survived by his son, Christopher and his wife Giustina of New Britain; his daughter Joanna and her husband William of Rocky Hill; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Grace Dabkowski and her husband Marek Piascik of Branford and Sophie and her husband Stanley Balkun of Ansonia; his cherished granddaughters, Angel and Amanda; his mother-in-law Janina Dmochowska of Poland as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Stanley's family wishes to extend special thanks to Dr. Ronald Pariser and the nursing staff in the ICU at Hartford Hospital and to everyone that assisted at the scene of the accident. The funeral service will leave Saturday September 27 at 9 a.m. from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd, Wethersfield for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at SS Cyril & Methodius Church, 55 Charter Oak Ave, Hartford. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. Calling hours will be Friday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
