Theresa Lattanzio

Theresa Stella (Orgento) Lattanzio, 100, of Rocky Hill, formerly of Wethersfield, beloved wife of the late Alfred R. Lattanzio, passed away Tuesday December 16, 2014. Theresa was born on April 9, 1914 in Hartford and was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Carmine Orgento. She was an excellent cook, one of the best in the world. She was the Julia Childs of the family. Theresa was a member of the Rocky Hill Seniors and the Incarnation Church Woman’s Club. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Theresa will be dearly missed by her daughter Jo-Ann Back of Rocky Hill and her son Francis J. Lattanzio and his wife Cynthia of Glastonbury. In addition she leaves behind her adored grandchildren, Stephen Back and his fianceé Minerva Alicea, David Back and his wife Jamie, Jennifer Attridge and her husband Brendon, Francis A. Lattanzio, Eleana Wiszniak and her husband Adam, Gina Lattanzia and Francesca Lattanzio. She also leaves her great grandchildren Joshua and Alex Back, Leah and Erin Attridge and Adam Joseph Wiszniak. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. Theresa was predeceased by her two brothers, Rocco and Victor Orgento and her two sisters, Carmela Nedell and Antoinette DeLuca. Theresa’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Apple Rehab in Rocky Hill and the Masonicare Hospice for their care and compassion. Funeral services and burial in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield will be private. The D’Esopo Funeral Chapel in Wethersfield is assisting Theresa’s family with arrangements.
