

Tyler Anthony Gagne, 59, of Windsor, lost his one year battle with cancer on January 21, 2009. He was born on October 17, 1949 in Hartford, son of the late Alcide and Irene (DesChamplain) Gagne, and graduated from St. Augustine and South Catholic High School. After graduation Tyler enlisted in the United States Coast Guard and after a four year tour of duty in which he served in Vietnam, he was honorably discharged in 1972. After the service, Tyler returned to school and graduated from the Computer Processing Institute in East Hartford with a degree in Corporate Operations. He began his career at Hartford National Bank as a supervisor. He finished his career working at both Moore Donnelly and Pitney Bowes. Recreationally Tyler was an avid duckpin bowler and card player. He also enjoyed fishing trips to Lake Champlain in Vermont. His love for the NFL led him to follow the Arizona Cardinals. His love and loyalty for that team could not be denied. Tyler is survived by a sister Carol Thibodeau and her husband Richard of Wethersfield, a sister Elaine St. Marie and her husband Jerry of Glastonbury, and a brother Steven Gagne and his wife Joan of Windsor. He also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be Monday, January 26, at 9:15 a.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd, Wethersfield followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at the Church of the Incarnation, Wethersfield. Burial with military honors will be in the State Veterans' Cemetery, Middletown.
