Betty Louise Ulery, 83, a resident of Staunton, passed away on October 23, 2014 at Sentara-RMH Medical Center. She was born in Heltonville, Indiana, on November 11, 1930 and was the daughter of the late Homer and Daisy Isom Hinkle.

Betty was a graduate of Purdue University in Indiana and was a teacher for 18 years.

She is survived by her daughter Barbara Bailey and husband, Darrell, of Weyers Cave; her son, Leland Harold Ulery and wife, Emelia, of Freeport, Maine; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a sister, Ruth Williams of Los Angeles, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by six siblings. A funeral service will be held 1:30 pm, Sunday, October 26, 2014 at the Chapel of the Lindsey Funeral Home in Weyers Cave with Pastor Katherine Johnson officiating.
