Elaine is survived by her husband, Ralph Reed; two sons, Mike Reed (Kelly), of Keller TX, and Mark Reed (Valerie), of Winston-Salem, NC; and seven grand-children.
Elaine worked as a secretary at DuPont in Waynesboro, VA, then 26 years at Fort Defiance High School in Fort Defiance, VA, finally retiring from Coldwell Banker Triad Realtors in Hillsdale, NC.
Elaine was an active member, servant, and pianist at Cornatzer Baptist Church in Mocksville, NC. She volunteered weekly at the Storehouse for Jesus in Mocksville, NC.
The family will receive friends 10-11:00 am, Saturday, December 31, at Lindsey Funeral Home, Weyers Cave. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 am, with her sons, Pastor Mark Reed and Mr. Mike Reed officiating. Burial will be at St. Paul Cemetery with Pastor Jeff Beverly officiating.
