Jewell was a great educator. She worked so hard to improve student environment and the teaching profession through the Staunton Education Association, VEA, NEA, and Valley UniServ.   She did touch the present  and the future. 

Graham and I share in everyone’s sadness for Jewell’s passing. She gave so much of herself in everything she did. I bought her grandmother’s quilt that she donated to a Hunt Ball auction and treasure it as we do her memory. 

I am so sorry to hear of Jewell's passing. I used to teach with her at Ware.  My thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time.  

We love you grandma and will miss you..❤️

I will never forget how Jewell took my son “under her wing” in the hunt field.   His  pony became too much for him to continue in first or second flight.  She turned his day around from frightening to delightful!  I have seen her do the same thing for countless riders over the years.  She was always a voice of reassurance and truly loved leading the field.   I have so many fond memories of Jewell.  She was a class act!



So sorry to hear of Jewell's passing.  I have lots of special memories from our time teaching at Ware.  She was always willing to help with struggling students.  My thoughts and prayers are lifted up to all her family and friends.

Teaching with Jewel was always an adventure.  We enjoyed teasing and fussing, laughing and spewing.  Throughout we were friends and she will be missed.  I’m sorry for your loss.
